SparkLayer turns the website you already run into a complete B2B wholesale platform. Your customers and sales team get a buying experience they actually want, and every order flows straight into the systems you rely on.
4.9 on the Shopify App Store · Trusted by 3,500+ B2B stores
Trusted by 3,500+ brands, distributors, and manufacturers of all sizes.
Reps log in as any of their accounts and build the order with that buyer’s own prices, volume breaks and pack sizes — then submit it, or send it for the buyer to approve.
Buyers ask for a better price while the rep’s on the call. Move a line price, set the carriage, apply a discount or override an ordering rule — the order goes in on the number they agreed.
Say which accounts each agent can reach and that’s all they see. Every order is tagged with the agent who placed it, so reporting works in the system you already run.
The portal is your storefront, so it’s already responsive. A rep starts a basket on a trade-show stand and picks the same cart back up on a laptop that evening — nothing typed twice.
Buyers request, your team prices, and the agreed quote converts straight to an order — negotiation, notes and approval in one thread.
Branded wholesale applications with approval built in — new accounts land with the right pricing, terms and catalog from day one.
Every customer group sees its own range — trade-only lines stay off the retail store, exclusives stay exclusive, down to the variant.
Invoices created automatically, payment status synced back, balances visible to your buyers — no manual reconciliation.
A trade portal on the store you already run — buyers sign in to their own prices, terms and order history.
Spreadsheets, PDFs and forwarded emails become ready-to-review baskets — matched to your SKUs, under your pack and stock rules.
SparkLayer connects to your wholesale data — customer-specific price lists, payment terms, pack sizes and ordering rules.
Stores it, keeps it in sync with your eCommerce website, and passes every order through to the systems downstream.
Ready-made frontend widgets replace the B2B parts of your wholesale site — nothing to rebuild, nothing to maintain.

A good question! There are many B2B solutions on the market and each offer a variety of benefits that may suit specific use-cases or customer types. Beyond functionality and features, there is one major benefit of SparkLayer that makes it compelling - you get to use your existing website and SparkLayer simply 'layers' on top (hence the name, SparkLayer!). Many other solutions are built as 'web portals' meaning customers have to use an entirely separate website. Whilst this may be useful, if you already have an existing website (e.g. for your DTC retail customers) or you use an eCommerce platform you're already familiar with, you'll need to manage multiple systems and tools which can add operational complexity.
We'd be happy to discuss this in more detail!

Shopify's announcement is good news for brands just starting out with very basic B2B. 3 catalogs, net terms, and company accounts are now accessible on every plan. Merchants who just need to get started with B2B no longer have to pay for Plus to do it.
But there's a gap between B2B being accessible and B2B being properly solved.
Shopify's native B2B doesn't have a quoting engine, on any plan. It doesn't have a Sales Rep Portal your team can use day-to-day (the admin backend isn't designed for salespeople). It doesn't have an AI cart that lets buyers email or upload orders. Its accounting integrations are built for DTC, not for the customer-assigned B2B order flows your finance team needs. And the staff account limits on standard plans make rep ordering impractical for any team larger than a handful of people.
SparkLayer is built for brands who have outgrown the basics, or who know from the start that they need more than Shopify's free tier will give them. Every feature we build, every person on our support team, every release on our roadmap is focused on one thing: making serious wholesale operations work properly.
If Shopify's native B2B covers what you need right now, SparkLayer's free plan gives you everything Shopify B2B includes — so there's nothing to lose by starting with it. And when you're ready to grow, upgrading unlocks the features serious wholesale operations actually depend on.
A few things that are genuinely hard to replicate.
The Sales Rep Portal is a full storefront interface — not an admin backend — that lets your reps toggle between customer accounts, build carts, access purchase history, and complete orders on behalf of buyers. No other B2B app on Shopify has built this properly.
The quoting engine is native — buyers request quotes, reps adjust pricing and communicate through a built-in messenger, confirmed quotes convert directly to orders. No email chains, no third-party tool, nothing that lives outside the platform.
The AI Intelligent Cart means buyers who prefer to work by email or spreadsheet don't have to change how they order. They forward a purchase order or attach a file — SparkLayer reads it and builds the cart. No manual re-keying.
And then there's the team. Every person on our support team works exclusively with B2B merchants. Every feature decision is evaluated through one lens: does this make wholesale operations better? Most platforms start DTC and add B2B later. SparkLayer was built to be B2B-first.
